If you wake up grumpy and negative, it's likely that you will stay in a bad mood all day long. However, if you start your day with a positive attitude, it's much more likely that you will have a good day.
There are many benefits to starting your day with a positive attitude. For one, research shows that morning people are more likely to be positive and productive than night owls. Additionally, starting your day with a positive attitude can help you better manage stress and adversity throughout the day.
One great way to start your day is reading (and saying out loud to yourself) positive affirmations. The positivity mug is a fun therapeutic art activity and tool that you can use every single morning.
How To Make A Positivity Mug:
Items you'll need for this art activity: blank piece of paper, colored markers, scissors and a decent sized mug.
Fold your blank piece of paper four times to create 16 small rectangles.
In each rectangular space, write a positive affirmation.
Cut your paper into each rectangle.
Fold them 2-3 times (or however small you wish to make them) and put inside your mug.
Each morning you wake up, pick a random paper from your mug and read out loud to yourself.
