60 Days Left of 2022: How To End The Year Mindfully

There are only 60 days left of 2022. How will you spend the last 60 days of this year? Will you rush through the holidays and forget to take time for yourself? Or will you take a moment to reflect on all that you've accomplished in the past year? It's just as important to end the year mindfully as it is to start it off that way. Here are a few tips for how to do just that!

Set aside some time each day for reflection. Even just 15-20 minutes will do. During this time, you can journal about your thoughts and feelings, meditate on your experiences, or simply sit quietly with your own thoughts.

Here are some journal prompts for reflecting on the year:

  1. List what went well this year.

  2. What were your biggest challenges from the year?

  3. What helps you get through this year?

  4. How would you describe the type of person you were this year?

  5. What kind of boundaries did you set for yourself this year?

  6. Who are you most grateful for this year?

  7. What are you most grateful for this year?

  8. How well did you take care of yourself this year?

  9. What remaining goals do you have for this year?

  10. What was the overall theme for you this year?

Be honest with yourself. It's okay if not everything was perfect this year. Part of mindfulness is acknowledging both the good and the bad so that you can learn from your mistakes and make improvements in the future.

Let go of grudges. If there's someone you're still holding a grudge against, now is the perfect time to let it go. Forgiveness can be liberating, and it will help you move forward into the new year with a clean slate.

Express gratitude. Take some time to think about all the things you're grateful for, both big and small. From your health and happiness to your family and friends, there's always something to be thankful for. Focusing on gratitude will help you end the year on a positive note.

Take some time to reflect on your accomplishments and challenges over the past year. What did you learn? How did you grow? What are you proud of? Taking stock of your progress can help you to stay motivated and focused as you move into the new year.

Consider your goals for the coming year. What do you want to achieve? Who do you want to become? Visualizing your desired future can help you to formulate a plan for making it a reality.

Finally, take some time to relax and recharge. The end of the year can be a busy and stressful time, so it's important to make time for self-care. Whether it's taking a long bath, going for a walk in nature, or simply taking some deep breaths, carving out time for yourself will help you to enter the new year feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
